Guess the older version too always thought of the nation first ( it was for a political reason that Akbar first married Jodha , his dream of a united and harmonious India under his rule ) and setting a precedent for the mass to follow and though religious harmony was one thing diluting royal bloodlines was another i.e where religious harmony was about tolerance and accepting diffrences , the other pertained to the future of the country in terms of the lineage of its rulers .There are some liberties which one cannot take when one has greater powers & responsibilities . hmm …I really liked the young Akbar’s character .
