This is the problem when you break a routine, it is difficult to get back into it……..once upon a short time ago, i used to make the blog a part of my everyday routine, but i took a break, and now i cant get back to it…..its a different issue altogether whether the constraint is ability...

About

Manu is a carbon based life form, quite similar to you. He claims to have a much tinier carbon footprint, but then his consumption is usually his own words.

Though he preferred his own schools of thought, he was educated and managed to civilly complete his engineering studies, before being institutionalised for his post graduation. Thanks to the sandy beaches of Goa, he retained his high spirits, but his memories of that era remain grainy.

His belief in the philosophy of web 2.0 inspired a user generated (arranged by bride and groom) marriage. They are content now, or so he likes to believe. His spirituality has rubbed off on his wife too, because after several years with him, she too has become spiritual and started questioning the existence of God. Manu has had a few attempts on his life, when his wife tricked him into being in the house when she did pest control, but he survived and continues to bug her.

His primary pursuits and interests are textual – blogging, microblogging- Twitter, Facebook etc and fiction. He doesn’t tell tales, but does write a few. He loves Bollywood, but has downplayed his excitement since the time the aliens almost abducted him from the movie hall for singing along “Popcorn, hain ye waqt ka ishara..” during the break. His affection for Bollywood snake movies and the resultant nagging by a few friends on Twitter also hasn’t helped the cause. Spirituality is important to him, so are religions – Hinduism, chocolate, Bill Watterson and the scarlet Ferrari.

He was a huge fan of Buffy the vampire slayer, until his obsession raised the ire of his wife, who was cross with him for days. The only stakeholder dreams he now shares with his wife are those to do with mutual funds. Boston Legal remains a favourite though, thankfully his wife is okay with it, he suspects it must be because of something to do with staying within laws. He’s a huge Star Wars fan and even forces his wife to be with him during movies. She responds by calling this his dork side. He also likes Star Trek and uses vulcanised rubber for his vehicle tyres, though the Bangalore roads only allow warped speed. Heroes, the television series (take my FB quiz) and Super heroes, any series,  and including and most importantly, Rajnikant, are eternal favourites.

But that’s quite enough about him. On to the blog. The blog also believes in Bollywood and reincarnations, and  since 2003, has been born and reborn on Rediff Blogs, Blogger and partly on Wordpress too. In addition to the original blog – manuscrypts, it also features the content of what used to be Restorants, a result of scouring the mean streets of Bangalore, in search of a restaurant that served Manu right. Now,  this critically unclaimed self hosted blog works on Wordpress and occasionally wordplay too.  There will be levity, brevity, sometimes even depravity, all part of the attempt to be acknowledged as a cerebrity. Being a Joker fan, the idea is to also put a smile on your face, jest like that :}
