A king who was a vanara in his earlier birth. He used to serve Shiva well and was then reborn as a king. He once saw the daughter of the sage Agnivesha bathing in the nude and kidnapped her. The sage cursed him into a vulture. He begged for mercy and the sage said that he would regain his form when he helped Indradyumna.
