Once the gandharva women &#8211; Pramodini, Sushila, Suswara, Sutara and Chandrika asked Agnipa to marry them. Being a brahmachari, he got angry and cursed them to become demon spirits. Vedanidhi approached Lomasha for their release from the curse. As per Lomasha&#8217;s instructions, they bathed in the Prayagatheertha and were released from the curse.
