Antecedents: Vishnu – Brahma – Hiranyakashipu – Anuhlad<\/p>\n

Marichi’s son Kashyapa married Daksha’s daughter Diti. Diti was Aditi’s younger sister. Aditi’s sons were devas and Diti’s sons were asuras. Diti’s sons were Hiranyaksha and Hiranyakashipu and she also had a daughter called Simhika. Simhika got married to Viprachitti, and Rahu and Ketu were born to them. Hiranyaksha had five sons while Hiranyakashipu’s children were Anuhlad, Prahlad, Hlad and Samhlad, according to Vishnupurana Ansh 1 Chapter 15 and Agnipurana Chapter 19.<\/p>\n
