His daughter Shachi was married to Indra. She was thence called Indrani. She was also earlier called Paulomi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Once an asura named Shurapadma desired Indrani, and sent his henchmen to capture Indrani. Indra learned of this and took her  to a temple in Chiyyazhi (believed to be in the Konkan) After some  time, he left Indrani in Ayyappa\u2019s protection and went to Kailash.  Shurapadma\u2019s sister Ajamukhi too this opportunity to try and entice  Indrani. Ayyappa cut off her hands and took Indrani to Kailash as per  Skandapurana Asurakanda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">See Agastya for Indrani and Nahusha.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As per the Mahabharata Adiparva Chapter 67, Draupadi is an ansh avatar of Indrani.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to Mahabharata Sabhaparva Chapter 11 verse 42, Indrani once worshiped Brahma in Brahmasabha.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Once, when Krishna and Satyabhama visited devaloka, Indrani took Satyabhama to meet Aditi as per Mahabharata Sabhaparva Chapter 38.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As per Mahabharata Shalyaparva Chapter 46 verse 13, Indrani was present during the birth of Subramanya.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">See Arjuna for Arjuna and Indrani.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wife of Indra.
