The Brahmandapurana mentions an Upamanyu, who was the son of a sage called Sutapa. Upamanyu reached Kashyapa’s hermitage with a desire to marry Sumati, Kashyapa’s daughter and Garuda’s sister. No one at the hermitage was comfortable with marrying Sumati off to an old man.
