When a king named Kshemadarshi was ruling Kosala, the subjects were troubled by the indecent behaviour of his soldiers. During that time, this sage, who was also a friend of the king&#8217;s father, arrived there with a birdcage containing a crow. He claimed to know Vayasividya, by which he could get the crow to predict the future, but his real purpose was to keep a watch on the soldiers&#8217; activities. After getting the information he wanted, he reached the palace and told the king about this, on the pretext of his Vayasividya.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The king&#8217;s minister got a few servants to kill the crow the same night. The next day, the sage told the king about the minister&#8217;s activities. The king heeded his advice and cleaned up his ministry and army as per Mahabharata Shantiparva Chapter 82.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The sage also advised Drupada to make peace with Kshemadarshi as per Mahabharata Shantiparva Chapter 106.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He was also present in Indra&#8217;s court as per Mahabharata Sabhaparva Chapter 7.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A sage.
