A sage. When a king named Kshemadarshi was ruling Kosala, the subjects were troubled by the indecent behaviour of his soldiers. During that time, this sage, who was also a friend of the king’s father, arrived there with a birdcage containing a crow. He claimed to know Vayasividya, by which he could get the crow to predict the future, but his real purpose was to keep a watch on the soldiers’ activities. After getting the information he wanted, he reached the palace and told the king about this, on the pretext of his Vayasividya.<\/p>\n
The king’s minister got a few servants to kill the crow the same night. The next day, the sage told the king about the minister’s activities. The king heeded his advice and cleaned up his ministry and army as per Mahabharata Shantiparva Chapter 82.<\/p>\n
The sage also advised Drupada to make peace with Kshemadarshi as per Mahabharata Shantiparva Chapter 106.<\/p>\n
