Alayudha

A rakshasa. He was the brother of Bakasura and fought on the Kaurava side in the Mahabharata war, as per Mahabharata Dronaparva Chapter 95 verse 46 and Chapter 176 verse 6. he fought with Bhima and Ghatotkacha and was killed by the latter.

Alankaravati

The wife of King Naravahanadatta. Her story is told by a Vidyadhari as per Kathasaritasagara. A vidyadhara named Alankarashila ruled over Srisundarapura in the Himalayas. He had a wife named Kanchanaprabha. He named their son Dharmashila, since he had a dream in which the devi Kartyayini said his son would be a paragon of justice. Dharmashila was eventually made crown prince, and his subjects liked him even more than they did his father. Kanchanaprabha later gave birth to a daughter and it was foretold that she would be the wife of Naravahanadatta. She was named Alankaravati. Her father taught her well and when she became older, she traveled to various Shiva temples. While on this tour, a divine voice told her that if she visited the Swayambhu temples in Kashmir, she would get married to Naravahanadatta. She did so, and was eventually married to him, as per Kathasaritasagara Lambaka 9 Taranga 1.

Alakhu

A son of Vasishta and Urja. He is also known as Alakhu and his siblings were Rajas, Gatra, Urdhvabahu, Savana, Shukra, Sutapas, as per Agnipurana Chapter 20.

Alambusha (2)

The son of a rakshasa named Rishyashringa. He was also known as Salakadanka. He fought on the Kaurava side in Kurukshetra, as per Mahabharata Udyogaparva Chapter 167 verse 33. On the first day of the war, he fought with Ghatotkacha, as per Mahabharata Bhishmaparva Chapter 45 verses 43-44. He also fought with Abhimanyu, Satyaki, Kuntibhoja, Bhima. He was finally killed by Ghatotkacha, as per Mahabharata Dronaparva Chapter 109 verses 22-31.
