A forest to the north of the Sumeru mountain. All six seasons appear simultaneously in this place and thus it is always filled with flowers as per Mahabharata Bhishmaparva Chapter 6 verse 24.

Karnika
One of the apsaras who sang and danced at Arjuna’s birth festival. The others were Menaka, Sahajanya, Punjikasthala, Ritusthala, Ghritachi, Vishwachi, Purvachitti, Ullocha, Pramlocha and Urvashi according to Mahabharata Adiparva Chapter 123.
Karnataka
A region in southern India, mentioned in Mahabharata Bhishmaparva Chapter 9.

A sage who lived in Yudhishtira’s court as per Mahabharata Vanaparva Chapter 26 verse 23.

A kshatriya king, who was an incarnation of the asura Krodhavasha as per Mahabharata Adiparva Chapter 67.

An attendant of Skanda as per Mahabharata Shalyaparva Chapter 46 verse 25.
Karnapravarana (2)
A group of people who lived on the banks of the oceans of the south. Sahadeva conquered them as per Mahabharata Sabhaparva Chapter 31 verse 67. Their ears apparently extended till their feet. They brought presents to Yudhishtira’s court as per Mahabharata Sabhaparva Chapter 52 verse 19.
Karnapravarana (1)
A region in southern India. The soldiers from this region fought on the Kaurava side in the Mahabharata war as per Bhishmaparva Chapter 51 verse 13.

A sage who attained salvation after undergoing vanaprastha as per Mahabharata Shantiparva Chapter 244 verse 18.
