A caste known for their skills in theatre as per Agnipurana Chapter 151.
Ayushman
Kashyapa and Diti had 2 sons – Hiranyaksha and Hiranyakashipu and one daughter Simhika. Simhika was married to Viprachitti. To them were born the group of rakshasas named Saimhikeyas which included Rahu. Hiranyakashipu had four sons – Anuvrata, Vraata, Prahlad and Samhlad. Vraata’s son was called Vrata. Samhlada’s sons were Ayushman, Shibi, Bashkala, Prahlad’s son was Virochana, to whom was born Mahabali, as per Agnipurana Chapter 19.

The king of frogs. His daughter was called Sushobhana and was married to Parikshit.

Son of Pururavas.
Antecedents: vishnu – Brahma – Chandra – Budha – Pururavas – Ayus.
Ayus was born to Pururavas and Menaka. Ayus and his wife Swarbhanavi had many children including Nahusha as per Mahabharata Adiparva Chapter 7 verse 24. Ayus had a lot of tapas energy as per Mahabharata Shantiparva Chapter 296 verse 15. He was a vegetarian according to Mahabharata Anushasanaparva Chapter 115 verse 59.
Ayurveda
A science taught to Sushruta by Dhanwantari. It has the cures for many diseases. Diseases are categorised into four – mind, body, accidental and chronic as per Agnipurana Chapters 279-286.
Aayudhapariksha
After the Kauravas and Pandavas completed their weaponry education from Drona, they were given a test called Ayudhapariksha. It is described in Mahabharata Adiparva Chapter 134.
Aayavasa
A king who is mentioned in Rigveda Mandala 1 Sukta 128.
