He is the protagonist in Kalidasa’a Malavikagnimitra. He is a king from the Shungakula era and is a son of Pushpamitra. The work is about the marriage of Agnimitra and Malavika.

Agniman
A kind of Agni. According to the Mahabharata Vanaprva Chapter 221 verse 31, if an agni from the Agnihotra touches an agni from Sutikagriha, a sacrifice of ashtakapala should be made in Agniman.

Agnipravesha
Ramayana Yudhakanda Sarga 119 describes Sita’s agnipravesha. Though he rescused Sita, Rama was angry at Sita having stayed in the custody of Ravana for such a long time. He decided to give her a test. Lakshmana prepared the fire, while a tearful Sita jumped into it, with a prayer to the gods. After the agnipravesha, Rama accepted Sita to be pure.

Agnipurana
This was created by Agni, with the devas, sages and Vasishta. It is said that it contains 12000 granthas. According to its chapters 1, 272, it is supposed to be written and donated to brahmins on the full moon day of the Margashirsha month.
The work is supposed to have 420 chapters, and contains comments on the dashavatars, Ramayana, Mahbharata, ways of worshipping the devas, Devatapratishtaswapnamantra, astrology, vaastu, ayurveda, physiology, and many such subjects.
Agnipura
According to Mahabharata Anushasanaparva Chapter 15 verse 43, many experts are of the opinion that this is the same as Maheshwara, located in Indore on the southern banks of the Narmada.
Agnipa
The son of a brahmin named Vedanidhi. Once the gandharva women – Pramodini, Sushila, Suswara, Sutara and Chandrika asked Agnipa to marry them. Being a brahmachari, he got angry and cursed them to become demon spirits. Vedanidhi approached Lomasha for their release from the curse. As per Lomasha’s instructions, they bathed in the Prayagatheertha and were released from the curse. According to Padmapurana Uttarakhanda Chapters 128, 129, Agnipa finally married them on the advice of Lomasha.
Agnidharatheertha
According to Mahabharata Vanaparva Chapter 84, verse 146, this is a holy place situated in the Gautama forest.
