A son of Vaivaswatamanu. Vaivaswatamanu had nine sons – Ikshvaku, Nabhaga, Dhrishta, Sharyati, Narishyanda, Pramshunaga, Dishta, Prishadhra as per Devibhagavata Saptamaskanda.

A king of Karusha. A woman named Bhadra once meditated to get him as a husband, but she was kidnapped by Shishupala as per Mahabharata Sabhaparva Chapter 45 verse 11.
Karusha (1)
A region in ancient India, believed by many to be modern day Bundelkhand. Indra’s brahmahatya sins were removed by sages here and the dried dung (karisha) from his body that fell here gave the place its name, as per Ramayana. Karisha later became Karusha. See Angamalada.
