A place near the Raivatha mountains as per Mahabharata Bhishmaparva Chapter 11 verse 26.
Kumaravana
The place where the king Sudyumna was transformed into a female.
Kumaravana was near Kailash. Once Shiva and Parvati were copulating there. Without knowing that, Sanaka and other sages decided to pay them a visit. Since they didn’t find the pair in Kailash, they reached Kumaravana. They came across the naked pair, who weren’t pleased by the intrusion. Parvati decreed that whoever entered the forest henceforth would become a woman. From then on, people never ventured into the forest. Sudyumna didn’t know this and entered the forest for a hunt. Sudyumna became a beautiful woman named Ila. On her way back she met Budha. They fell in love and got married. Their son was Pururavas as per Devibhagavata Prathamaskanda.
Kumaras
Sanaka, Sanandana, Sanalkumara, Sanatsujata are the manasaputras of Brahma and gifted with eternal youth. They are collectively known as Kumaras.
Kumaradhara
A river that originates from Brahmasaras. Bathing here gives a person wealth and intelligence as per Mahabharata Vanaparva Chapter 84 verse 149.
Kumaradasa
A Sanskrit poet. He lived in 7 AD and is credited for Janakiharana.
Kumaradatta
The protector of Mushika’s mother. See Mushika.
Kumarakoti
A holy place visiting which is equivalent to donating a 1000 cows as per Mahabharata Vanaparva Chapter 2 verse 117.
Kumaraka
A prominent snake who was killed in Janamejaya’s Sarpasatra as per Mahabharata Adiparva Chapter 57 verse 13.
Kumara (5)
A region in ancient India. Bhima defeated Shreniman, the ling of this region in single combat as per Mahabharata Sabhaparva Chapter 30 verse 1.
Kumara (4)
One of Garuda’s sons as per Mahabharata Udyogaparva Chapter 101 verse 13.
